1970-72 Peugeot U-08 U-08
Fully Custom. I started with a rusty frame. You can’t see them well but this bike has been fitted with about a dozen brand new replicas of the original Peugeot decal of the era. I have no less than $400 and 40 hours invested into this bike. It has less than 100 miles on it. It is solid and rides like a dream. She brakes smoothly and quickly. Very responsive steering. I believe it is geared perfectly. I am in love with this bike and I hate to part with it but things are shitty and I need money in a bad way. My loss is your gain. All Parts that are not vintage are brand new. There is no junk on this bike. I even hand-laced in and trued the rear wheel/hub. ***Ieven threw on 3 antique cable chrome stays. New Retro Peugeot head badge. Cinnelli bar tape. Powder coated KMC chain. Brass and steel Presta valve adapters. Two coats automobile paint primer, 3 coats of both the black and gold paint and three coats of clear. No enamel. All acrylic lacquer Duplicolor automobile paint...about $75-$85 worth of paint. My advice: never paint a bike if you can have it powder coated by a pro. It’s only a few bucks more and doesn’t chip, run and smear. Painting this thing was a nightmare. I learned the hard way. I really don’t know what year this bike was manufactured but I believe I have it narrowed down to 1969-73. If you know something I don’t feel free to lemme know!
