Muddyfox, founded by Aristidis Hadjipetrou and Drew Lawson, is a subsidiary of Universal Cycles in the UK. The company is headquartered in Basildon, England, and specializes in manufacturing mountain, road, hybrid, and BMX bikes. Earlier in 1980, Muddyfox manufactured BMX bikes but shifted to producing mountain bikes because of the market crash. Later they began producing Silver Fox bicycles for big-box stores such as Agros. Muddyfox also advertises a clothing line that includes jerseys, trousers, gloves, and shorts. Moreover, the company also provides protection gear possessing sunglasses, helmets, pumps, and other bicycle parts.
