Marin is a bicycle manufacturing firm that originated in 1986 in Marin County, California. Bob Buckley founded the company with Joe Murray as product designer. The Madrone Trail was their first product, and since then, they have successfully launched more than 60 bikes, ranging from mountain bikes, road, comfort, street, and special designs for women and kids. With help from British engineer Jon Whyte, the company developed a single-pivot rear suspension. Moreover, they designed innovative products, such as hydroformed, monocoque, quad-link suspensions, etc. Recently, Marin Bikes introduced Alcatraz, a popular dirt jump/slopestyle model.
