Jamis Bicycles is a bike distributor company based in America. Designing of their bike takes place in America, but the bikes are built in Taiwan and China. Jamis was acquired by G. Joannou Cycle Company in 1990, headed by chief executive Carine Joannou, and it is a Woman-Owned company. The company is named after original founder Ron Jamis and the Earth Cruiser, Boss Cruiser, Boss Explorer, Dakota, and Dakar were among their first bikes. In 1988, the company launched road bikes Quest and Eclipse before introducing Tangier and Coda hybrid bikes in 1991. Jamis Bicycles has won multiple awards and honors for its innovative products and bicycles.
