Independent Fabrication, better known as IF, is a bike manufacturer based in New Hampshire’s North Hampton region. IF bike frames are made from carbon fiber, titanium, and steel, and the company has won Bicycle Magazine’s Dream Bike of the Year Award two times with the titanium-lugged, carbon-tubed XS road frame. The company moved its factory from Massachusetts to New Hampshire in 2011, and many former employees returned after this move. Independent Fabrication makes the Road, Cyclocross, Touring, Off Road, and Specials custom bike frame models currently. The company was also part of a CNN TV program ‘The TurnAround’ in 2005 that highlights its popularity during that time.
