Inspired by his world champion brother Marino Basso, Alcide Basso established the Basso Bikes in 1977. Since then, the company has been dedicated to enhancing the riding experience of passionate bikers. Although the company was officially registered in 1977, Alcide Basso made his first bicycle in 1974. Initially, only steel frames were manufactured by Basso, but from the year 1996, they also stepped into the manufacturing of carbon frames. Now owned by Stardue group, Basso manufactures all kinds of bikes, including Road bikes, Gravel, E-bike, Commuter, etc. At present, Basso in has established itself in 25 countries with a solid network of 400 dealers.
