Atala is an Italian brand that is known for its bicycles, exercise equipment, and bike components. The company was founded by Angelo Gatti in 1907 in Milan, Italy, and was fully incorporated by Cesare Rizzato in 1921. Atala is famous all over the world for its racing cycles, which won numerous cycling championships in the early 20th century. The company currently produces bikes in a range of categories, including Street, Urban, Trekking, MTB, Electric, and Folding. They also make the Byte range of cycle components that are used in many of their own bikes, as well as in bikes produced for the Maino e Umberto Dei, Carraro Cicli, and Whistle Bikes brands. In recent years, Atala has sold 50% of its ownership to the Accell Group.
